Please help, I want to become an ultrasound technician, I live in Oregon, how can i become one?

I really think this is what I’d like to do, I just dont know how to get there. I dont want to go to a state college, I’ve read that I can do it through a trade school of some sort, but I’m not sure which one or where, I cant seem to find ANY schools that apply to this profession online for oregon! If you are a sonographer, or have advice for me, I’d really appreciate it!! Thanks so much!

The best i can tell you is to look into community colleges. Most have 18 month programs to become a radiology tech and then u can take more classes to specialize (and get paid more). Look at the community colleges in your state or call and ask about the programs they offer :)

    hope this helps

Go to a local tech college.

Most technical colleges have a radiology program. Those programs usually cover XRay, MRI, Ultrasound, etc – as well as anatomy.
